Normlife

I've been talking with Andrew and Andres about the forum lately, about how it's slowed (way) down and we're all using Facebook now (except for Andres) (again). I guess the allure of Facebook is the people and its ease of use.

BUT! We've got a solid community here and a reliable platform to communicate.

How can we make it easier to use?

One thing is consolidating forums. College/High School was merged into School a while ago. More recently News and Politics/Debate were merged. And tonight I merged General Posting and Entertainment.

Also today, I implemented an OpenID login option; you can link an OpenID account to your current username. That is, you can connect your Google or Yahoo accounts, for instance, to your username. I connected my Google account to my Normlife account; all I needed to do is click Login --> select Google --> select Login button --> sign in to Google --> authorize forums.normlife.com with Google --> and, once back on the forum, bind my Normlife username and password to the Google login. Then all you need to to is be logged in to Google, come to the forum, click "Login" and you're on the forum!
